Inauguration Coverage

9:26 AM Edit This 14 Comments »
I am trying to watch the inauguration coverage online and my streaming is awful, awful, awful at work and it's making me very, very mad that I have to be here when I could be at home, watching it all on tv.

That is all.

Oh, and I may have teared up some when I was watching Joe Biden and his wife on Oprah yesterday.

*edit* I "watched" online and it was horrible. And because I was so irritated that I couldn't really see it, I'm not sure I listened. I'll definitely have to watch it again later. Definitely.

*another edit* It's Therapy Tuesday. That just MIGHT have contributed to the irritation. Yep. Carolyn ruined the inauguration for me. It's ALL HER FAULT. I kid. Sort of.

I would imagine there is a world full of people trying to stream in the coverage. The Internets might be a tad bit overwhelmed. Though, I wouldn't know, since I'm watching TV while working at home. =)

The VP had me set up three conference rooms with projectors, showing it on the screens.

I'm not watching.

I lied.

I watched.

Ha! I crashed my server in the office trying to update a simple flash player!

I wasn't playing with the Internet on this one. I plopped myself down in our conference room and watched the inauguration on MSNBC.

P.S. YES to your email request! More information to come.

I work for the feds and we have severely restricted internet access. So funny watching our tech guy trying to override the internet so we could try to watch the coverage online. Didn't work, even though the President is like our boss and stuff. We dragged in an old TV and used rabbit ears. sooo funny! But I'll have to catch up later on the rest of the coverage, because the reception was sort of crap.

The coverage has even taken over Canadian stations and newspapers... it has never been like this as far back as I can recall.

The world does feel a little different today doesn't it?

You'll feel totally better once you have a chance to watch for real. It was a fantastic speech. I'm even glad that I'm still sick enough to stay home; I got to watch it from home, from under a comfy blanky.

You have to find a friend that recorded it or somehow get it online. His speech was incredible and I don't think words can describe Aretha's hat.

People, was it as emotional as his acceptance speech? The acceptance speech felt more like a celebration of shared victory whereas the inauguration seemed more of a television event. Although I can't believe how many stories there were of people or organizations or teams rescheduling around the event. Which was more emotionally intense?

(Sorry to start my own poll on your blog, lol.)
