Therapy Tuesday

Guess what? I'm running out of things to talk about in therapy. Who would have thought I'd finally get a grip?

Anyway. This is what everyone's windshield looks like today. All that happy skipping and jumping happening over the 60 degree weekend is over. I had to pull over in two parking lots on my way to work to re-scrape. It's raining ice on us today. I'm good with rain. I'm good with snow. I am not good with ice. In fact - it TERRIFIES me since the whole breaking of the leg incident. I feel a clutch in my heart every time I take a step that doesn't feel secure. I mean, big picture-wise, breaking my leg was not that big of a deal. Except for the EMT that slapped me to get me to stop hyperventilating. And that? That's just a great story. Along with the "These are my favorite socks. You WILL not cut them off me!" And that was before the beautiful homemade socks started to appear. Oh, and waking up from surgery sobbing for my mother. At 32 years old. So yeah. I don't like the ice. It's too scary.

Oh I know it! Ice is bad news. Very, very bad. Especially in the car.

WHERE IS SPRING ALREADY????!!!

Oh, careful, love. Snow is one thing, but I don't mess around with ice anymore. Not since I slipped on a used condom, anyway...

Ice will be the death of me; I just know it. It's so stealthy. Like a ninja. There. Ice is like a ninja.

I never used to understand why my mom shuffled so cautiously across icy patches... until I got to be THIS age, and now I have started doing the same thing. I know too many people who got broken from icy falls. Here's to keeping your balance, and an early thaw.

Been there. No worries, you'll think of new things.

Oh man! I wish you had slapped the EMT back! And then you could've started pulling hair and then someone's dress would be ripped and then you could yell "Blaaake!" Hmmm...maybe I should stop watching Dynasty reruns.

You COULD just kick him with the homemade socked foot - with the OTHER foot.

I hate those winter days when ice falls from the sky and tempts stupid people to drive without cleaning their windshields. My sister broke her leg on ice, too, so I am totally a shuffler when my driveway turns into a hockey rink.

Winter will supposedly end at some point. Not holding my breath.
