Breaking News

Okay, so I'm slow on the breaking news, but this is pretty amazing. That serial killer they were searching for in the Carolinas? He was shot and killed in the little town where I USED TO LIVE. I'd like to think it was my vigilante ex-marine turned community college professor neighbor who sat outside my apartment with his shotgun the night after my purse got stolen, just so I'd feel safe. The same neighbor who asked where Jason had gone after he moved back to Sioux Falls and said, "Good." How is it that everyone else knew he was a hopeless cause and not me? Hrmph.

And in other news, I'm no germaphobe. I'll eat things off the ground (my kitchen floor is another story), but I cannot and will not ever be able to take a pill that fell into the litter box. If you don't know about Tiny Apartment, you wouldn't know why that is a possibility, but I spilled a whole bottle in there this morning. There will be some explaining to do at the pharmacy.

UGH! I'm sorry about the meningitis returning. I'm sorry (and completely understand) about the cat litter box flavored pills you now possess.

I also had a lumbar puncture about a year and a half ago. I got the really bad headache for a week where I had to lie flat or else feel like I was dying. I'm hopeful that you didn't experience that as well.

I sure hope you get well soon!!!!

Pills would have been OK, provided the cat didn't eat them and then crap them out... HeeHeeHee....

I'd eat pills off my floor, but would also back the heck away from litterbox pills. I love it when I drop my almost-consumed pills into the sink, or accidentally fling (it can happen, really) them across the room. Most of the time, I will still swallow it and hope my immune system takes it in its stride.

I can't count the number of times I've driven by there through the years.

I had two operations where I got a spinal instead of general anesthesia. The 1st time - absolutely no problem. The 2nd time - it. was. miserable. gawd, the headache was almost unbearable.

my sympathies.

I thought I'd heard it all, working in a medical clinic. Dropped pills in toilet, check. Pills stolen by unsavoury relative, check. Pills in litterbox? That's a new one. I hope the pharmacy is sympathetic.

Litterboxes = the reason I will not own a cat again.
