Applications

This morning, as I was doing the rounds, I started in on the Bad Thoughts. The ones that say, "If you had a husband, he'd help you out with these things." Things as in, taking out the garbage, scooping the litter box and scrubbing the kitchen floor. Oh - and while he's at it - vaccuuming out my sand filled summer car. You know that dream? The one where you happily share household chores and no one complains that it's YOUR TURN TO PUT AWAY THE DISHES? And then you go to bed dreamily blissful and have Wild Monkey Sex?

And then I started thinking, "But if I had a husband, I'd have to share things I don't want to share." Like my books and my quiet time and my bed. Oh, and I'd probably have to talk to him on occasion.

So. The conclusion this morning is that I do not need a husband. I just need a maid. And a Handy Man. If you know what I mean. The guy that fixes stuff and puts gas in my car. And other Stuff. I'm taking applications.

You're right on the sharing part. Hmm ... can I trade in The Hubster for this maid/handy man thingy?

There is nothing you can't do darling....so really you just need a slave LOL

A maid costs way less than a wedding...or a divorce.

Ah yes, the trade off. Well, what you give is what you get... so if you aren't willing to sacrifice at times stay away from relationships.

Honey, if you had a husband, you'd probably have to nag the hell out of him to help with those things. And yes, sharing stuff sucks. lol.

I have a husband and he does none of those things. So consider yourself better off. At least you don't have to be mad when he doesn't help.

I used to feel the same way, heck, I still want a maid and a handyman, but I want the man and the relationship too! :)

Right on! Way to shift perspective.

Most of us just watch football all the time anyway, and we fart a lot, so you're WAY better off just getting a maid...

Your husband probably wouldn't put away the dishes.

The best part of this revelation is the new found standard. You'll know a guy is right when you want to share the books and the bed.
