Ice, Ice Baby.

It's raining i-i-ice. Raining ice.
If you do it with jazz hands, it sounds better. Just so you know.
Guess what these are? These little contraptions allow me to walk around like it's summertime in the city. You know that penchant I have for "winning" at winter? These help. So as I was chipping ice off my car windows, one square inch at a time, I didn't even think about slipping because they are ALL THAT!
And they're called Yak Tracks, which makes them even better. Say it really fast! Yaktracksyaktracksyaktracks.

In other pressing news, I want to know why cantaloupe goes with cottage cheese and not with yogurt. And why dipping strawberries in chocolate is good, but pineapple is not.

I'm going to be saying "Yaktracks" to myself all day long now.

And I originally thought you were going dominatrix on us for a second. That picture can SO be misconstrued. (At least by guys like me.)

Yaktracks!

We get freezing rain every winter and I gotta say, I'd rather be on a warm sunny beach, but oh well. You reminded me of back when I was about 12 or so and my brother took the trash out to burn (We lived way out in the middle of nowhere and burned all trash......yeah) Anyway, he went out to burn the trash with nothing but a sweat shirt hoodie, blue jeans, and his boots along with the lighter to set the trash on fire in the burning barrel.

So, about 45 minutes later we all start missing him (yep, it took us awhile...oopsie!) and we look out back where the fire was still going pretty well and laying down on the steep part of the hill trying with all his might to climb the hill was my brother.

Well, dad goes outside with some socks over his shoes and an extra pair of socks for my brothers shoes and some rope just in case.

Mom was busy fixing some hot cocoa and warming towels up for my brother.

I found such humor in it all that I was laughing so hard I could barely stand up.

If you were a car, they'd be called snow chains!

Why didn't I know about those bad boys when I lived in the snow??

I have Yak Traks too and I love them. Steve, of course, has already gone through multiple pairs!

I've been trying to convince my mom to get a pair. She walks around all winter using 2" babysteps because she's scared of falling on the ice, even if there's only a dusting of snow on the ground.

I am lovin' on those YakTraks. All you need now is a whip and some latex and you have yourself a par-tay!

Yay! Love YakTraks, except that I break them continually. I don't know if it's my feet, or what. Have considered just wearing my big spiky crampons. :)
