Privates
7:19 AM Edit This 25 Comments »And God said, "Let them delurk!" And they delurked. And God said, "It is good."
Let it be so!
And in the spirit of showing our privates to one another, I will let you know a few secrets about me.
1. I hate rhubarb sauce, mushrooms, shrimp and olives. It's a texture thing.
2. In light of yesterday's post, I'll just tell you I'm 5'11" and I like to wear heels.
3. I'm considering becoming a vegetarian.
There you have it. Please leave a comment and tell me why you read. (Even if you're not a lurker. I still want to know.) Is it for the socks? The melancholy? The drama? The South Dakota Public Health Bulletin? Gay Boyfriend? My incredible writing? (Snarf.) What makes you keep coming back for more? It's my vlog. I know it. My cute accent. Ha!

You're a fun read, even if you do sometimes make me cry.
And, of course, I'm secretly in love with you.
I read because you're you.
And because you're me, 20 years ago.
And because you're a fantastic writer.
And because you're funny and smart and quirky and cool.
And because I like it when you show your privates.
I keep telling you to write a book. Until you do I have to make due reading your blog.
Because I've known you since the 80's & am so happy to hear from you every day. Cheers!
Hi! Just found you, on BethFish's blog, because you said you liked The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo also!
I read because you rock. It's that simple.

I don't know if I can articulate why I read your blog. I'm hooked, though.
You have an honest powerful voice, you're quirky and smart and interesting. You sometimes validate me, sometimes challenge me, sometimes comfort me, and often make me laugh. And I like your kind of spirituality - it's strong and raw and unsentimental.
I feel a connection with you is the primary reason though.
Even if you are TEN inches taller than me!
I love how you write about your battle against snow and your determination to succeed throughout anything, especially snow.
Stories about Gay Boyfriend and Other Boy.
You use easy words that my menial mind can comprehend.
You blog about everyday things that you put an amusing spin on, by laughing at the situation.
Your interest in germs and such.
Really there are too many to name or think about this early in the morning.....Okay it's almost 10am but I have a small brain. . .
I read because you're my friend who lives too far away. And we're getting to know each other.
I read for the socks, the kitties, tales of Gay Boyfriend and mostly because I feel like if we were to ever meet in person, you are exactly the sort of person I'd want to have as a friend.
You have an easy writing style, and an interesting take on the world..
I read you because I love reading you. I get excited when I see a new post from you in my reader. The writing style is excellent, the content true and heartfelt, the voice honest and inviting, why would I not read you? That is real question.
Because I'm glad we've found each other again. And you are a very real, honest person. And I like that.
I can't remember when I found your blog, or how...but the first post of yours I read was a very honest post (and it wasn't a "what I did today" kind of thing)
I've been hooked ever since.
i read every single post...i dont' remember how i found you, but i will say that it is one of my BEST finds from last year.
i read because, to me, you are witty, crazy, normal, fun, thoughtful and a great writer.
honestly, the reason i keep coming back is because you're 5 inches taller'n me with yer heels on. (assuming 3 inch heels. yeah. i'm short. it's legal in new york, new jersey, and connecticut).
oh, and the writing is ok too.
P.S. I DID really dig the VLOG!
*pushing up sleeves, preparing to punch BrianAlt in the neck*
I read you because I love you.
I read because I admire your ability to put it all out there, the good, the bad and the ugly.
You make me laugh and cry(often at the same time)
You love snow!!!
I comment and read because you take the time to read my blog, so I take the time to read yours. I really do enjoy your vlogs because I feel like I get to know you better.
Lots of people want to punch me in the neck/throat.
:'(
I originally stopped by when I clicked on your profile in a comment you made on Sparkling Red's blog. Was going through one of my quarterly purges of my bookmarks, so I needed another blog to read.
I'm not sure why I actually read your blog on a daily/weekly basis, other than it's a good read and that people from the western side of the Mississippi River are way more interesting than those on my side of the river.
Hi Kate,
I wasn't lurking on lurking day, but Chris Cactus suggested I stop by- I'm in Rapid City. So, Hi!
Hey, you did Delurking Day too! Cool! :)
