Snow Day in My Heart

It's snowing today. Which more than makes up for the forty below wind chill we have going on. I love, love, love the snow! It matches the winter in my soul. I am not doing well with the anniversary of Jason's death coming up. Last year, it was all about my one year sobriety birthday. I know that's still important, but it's not as big a deal to me this time. I'm very confused about how I feel about pretty much anything. I know very well that I am okay and I am going to be okay through this whole season. I just don't like the way that I feel. Not one bit.

hugs~ just like the snow the pain will become something beautiful
It's not snowing here. Can I come up there and play in the snow with you? We can romp around like little kids and you'll cheer right up!!
at the very least, enjoy the snow. Everything else just take one day at a time. When is your sobriety birthday?
I like snow too, but I can't convice my out-of-town friends to visit!
I think you should feel happy you can FEEL. Feeling is life. It's normal to feel. It's what we should do as human beings. Feel away!
And happy second birthday!
Okay, that's snow. I might or might have been being a gigantic wuss. Chin chin, dear one. Put on fancy shoes and take a picture of your feet. Makes you feel better.
Nice snow. I'm hoping we get a blizzard or two this year, here, too.
snow is beautiful. go take some pics. bundle up first!
Carrie - my sobriety birthday is December 28th. Jason's anniversary is December 29th. My regular birthday as you know, is January 2nd. Too much all at once.
It's snowing here too. Not sticking though.
We're getting snow tonight!!!
YAY!!!
Sorry you're bummed out sweetie. The season will pass and you will be okay again.

I didn't mean to say that twice! What happened?
You have a great blog, btw!
We got a healthy inch of snow and slush.
Hang in there Kate. Do what you need to do today to get out of your "funk".

One foot in front of the other, right? For now, derive your happiness from Mother Nature. There's nothing wrong with that, even if it is only a temporary distraction.
