Happy Feet Friday

Now that it's not twenty below and I don't have to wear wool socks and parkas and hats and scarves and mittens with five layers of clothing, I have so many more shoes to pick from. I'm afraid I'm going to show you way too many of them. Choices, choices. Always choices. Someone should just package my clothing up in bags so I can pull out a whole outfit and just put it on in the morning with no argument. These are of second hand store fame. There were black ones just like it that I passed on. And then kicked myself for. I love these. They're a little high, but I don't care. I tower over people anyway. They can suffer just a little bit more for my vanity.
Oh! These are new. Again, from the second hand store. I wish the lady that runs it would just tell me who the six foot tall woman with size 11 shoes is so we could just exchange clothing instead of go through her. Greedy. She's greedy. Ha!

And the ones that I finally settled on. They show my pretty toes. Did you know it's impossible to get out of Target without spending at least 80 dollars? I've tried. And I've been shopping at Target for YEARS. Because I know it's going to be a big expense, no matter what I go in there for, I limit my trips. Last night was the first trip to Target in many months. Kitty litter, body wash, makeup, bras, underwear, it was an hour and $100 later, I do not have my favorite color lipstick because - get this - they DON'T MAKE IT ANYMORE! I've been wearing Maybelline Raisin Long Lasting Lip Stain for YEARS!
When I was in college, I wore Victoria's Secret Her Majesty's Rose Garden body spray. I used the wash, the shampoo, the lotion, the spray. Everyone in my building knew when I took a shower. It was my signature scent. And I loved it. And they stopped making it. Just like that. I called store after store after store, resorting to calling London to make sure there was none left in their warehouse and then the era was over. I still haven't found a new signature scent, and it pains me people. PAINS. ME. Because I refuse to smell like food. No vanilla, no strawberries and cream, no cinnamon apple, pear glace? Yesch. All good things come to an end. Now I just smell like Aussie hair product. And let me tell you. It smells like grapes.
Oh, and I get to go dancing tonight.

I went to Target twice this week. First time I went just to exchange a paper shredder and I ended up spending $120.00. The second time, I went to pick up a prescription and I spent $170.00 My prescription was only $10.

I'm with Lindsey!

Also I'm a totally food-smell girl. I love me some vanilla. But it has to be good vanilla. I use Pacifica Tibetan Mountain Temple lotion and it's so very awesome.

I don't like fruit, however.

I would like to state for the record that my FATHER. Yes, my FATHER has more pairs of shoes than me. And that even though it's only 35 degrees in the morning, as long as there's no snow or ice, I feel free to wear open toed shoes and flip flops.

Thank you for being against the "smelling like food" approach. What the balls is "pear glace?!"

Love the third pair of shoes. Sexy. Very sexy (really like the red ones too, but I just happen to think that everything is better in red). Have fun tonight! Is it a date?

I'm wearing open toes too! :) Love this weather.

OMG I couldn't decide which pair I loved the most. Nice tootsies. I have on open toes as well.

Why do they do that? Get us hooked on beauty products and then discontinue. WHY?

I don't like smelling fruity either. My last body lotion looked promising in the store, but when I put it on I realized it smelled like sour yogurt. :-p I used it all anyway because I'm that kind of person - can't throw anything useful in the trash, and couldn't offer it to anyone else because who wants to smell like sour yogurt?

Nice shoes! All 3! I like the open toes the most 'cos I miss having my toes out. Spring is here!

Target is like a drug!

I went to Target today and you know what I bought?

NOTHING.

Not one thing.

I actually brought stuff back.

First time ever in the history of womankind.

You may worship me now.

Kristen, I need your secret. There is no way I can go to Target and buy nothing.

Nice shoes! Love the red ones!!! I need to get me some red shoes this spring.
I hate it when they stop making our favorite products. Why do they do that, why?

Okay MAC has one called Maple Sugar or something close to that that is pretty close. I have a girlfriend named Karen who wrote to Mabelline to get the raisin extras, and meanwhile is using this MAC color. It was all she could talk about for a week
And you could try Ebay for unopened ones. I actually resorted to this once for some OBI nail polish.....

I've walked into Target and bought nothing as well. For example, I'll go in for umm.... I dunno? A lipstick? I guess? I walk around with a cart, and pick up other items. I finally get to the makeup isle. They don't have the one I want, which means I'll have to go into Longs, or Rite Aid, or Wal Mart, or whatever you can relate to. I figure, well then screw it. I don't want to write two checks, or sign twice for my card (too lazy) so I'll leave the cart, and walk out. LOL yeah, dumb I know. But my sheer laziness and plain stupidity has actually saved me money.

*LOVE those shoes. They look comfortable, yet sexy!
