5:30 AM Edit This 10 Comments »This munchin called me last night. She loves playing with her mother's phone when she's in the van and she's figured out that I'm on speed dial. I get random calls from her all the time, which I love, love, love.
"Kate! Remember last year you had those floaty things that we jumped on in the water? And we jumped and jumped and jumped and they popped and we had to throw them away?"
"Yes. I remember."
"Are you going to get some new ones for THIS year?"
"I'm pretty sure I am. You liked them alot."
"Well Mommy said no way in hell."
At which moment I burst into laughter because I can see that conversation playing out in the aisles of WalMart. I love that a three year old can make me laugh like that.

I wanna come. I could surely use the distraction. Very sad over here today. So i came here to be cheered up. Because you Ms Kate are downright cheery these days.
How great is that????

E: Apparently it's VERY GREAT!!!! Thrice great, at least.
Kate: Cuteness!
"no way in hell." Hahahahahaha!! I've said that once or twice myself in the aisle at Target.
What a cutie pa tootie!! I love when kids quote their parents. It's lovely.
I call them Munchkins too! Kids like me because I talk with them, not to them...
I love those random calls from my niece, they're truly the best!
Only yesterday I was thinking about the cuteness of twiggy little girls in slightly-too-big bathing suits.
I have found the little things are always the best. Thanks for sharing.
