I'm So Weird

I've been writing. Writing alot. And then because I was, I signed up for NaNoWriMo. If only to say I did something. I'm not sure if I'll post what I'm writing anywhere, but if you're interested in reading it, send me an email. But please don't be offended if I end up saying no. I'm not sure what I want right now.

Sober birthdays at the club this weekend. And a great visit from my mom and dad. I think I'm arriving at a place that feels good. And whereas I'm afraid of the other shoe, I'm glad for where I am. I wish the other shoe would just go away and leave me be. Why I have to taint goodness with fear, I will never know.

In other news, I hate the time change. It messes up my body beyond belief. It's worse in the Spring, but it's such a hard sell for this utter creature of habit. Sometimes I wonder how other people manage it and why I'm so weird.

OMG! If there is another shoe, Happy Feet Fridays will get confusing!

I always think about doing LaMoWriMoDingDong or whatevah but it takes too much typing to sign up and all.

If you don't want to post your writing anywhere, at least give us an update on how it's going. I'm not doing the NaNoWriMo because, bsh, please, I can't even post regularly!

I also hate the change in clocks, both ways. It's hard enough adjusting to shifting light without throwing your body off an hour from where it was yesterday.

I'm not up to NaNoWriMo but I am trying NaBloPoMo. Best of luck with whatever you write.

I hope you write to your heart's content, regardless of whether you hit publish or not. You can always email me ... I'm good for a listening ear or two.

I've never been bothered much by the time change. Just like traveling from one time zone to another doesn't really mess with my system all that much. I wish it were easier for you.

Congrats on doing NaNoWriMo! I haven't started yet. What's your name, I'd love to be your writing buddy!

I kinda like the time change, but I have other things that are hard but seem easy to everyone else. Like being at a job more than four hours.

As for the other shoe, I'm totally with you there. I'm currently making a very conscious effort to keep it out of my field of vision. It's not easy.

Time change is the very worst. Very worst.

I started really thinking about this other shoe thing and wondering where that expression even came from, so I looked it up.

Apparently it has to do with someone coming in late at night and taking off his shoes. He drops the first one, and realizes it's pretty loud, so he places the other one gently on the floor.

Eventually the guy downstairs shouts, "When are you going to drop the other one so I can stop waiting for it and go back to sleep?"

I think I'm going to have to work this into a post. Thanks for the inspiration.

Good luck on the writing thang. No matter if you publish it or not, at least it's creativity in action.

I hate the time change too. I gets the SADS when it's dark by 4:30 in the afternoon.

I'll pretty much be miserable until Spring now.

Good for you. I don't think I could do that, trying to post three times per week is enough for me.
