Happy Feet Friday

That's my little toe, waving at you.

I know a secret and I can't tell anyone and IT'S KILLING ME!!! When did I get to be so gossipy? When?! I want to tell the world! But I can't. Even on my blog. Because well - what if that person ever found my blog? I'd be in so much trouble. Sigh. Just know I'm boiling with a tasty bit of information here that's going to bubble right out of my mouth if I don't watch it.

Hrmph. I don't like keeping secrets.

And I might be going to Costa Rica in April. As in someone I know and love knows someone he knows and loves that's opening up a resort and wants some people to come test drive it and all we'd have to do is get there and I'm all like, DUH! OF COURSE I WANT TO GO! And I have no idea how much airfare is from the frosty midwest to the lovely Costa Rica, but I'm going. Because seriously, how often does something like this happen? Never. And it also means that I want to be skinny on the beach and make out with a cabana boy, so I have to start exercising or something and not stuffing my face with bagels and cheese, cheese and more cheese. And well. That's just dumb. Cheese is the best thing ever. But the cabana boy! But the cheese! But the bikini and the kissing! But the cheese!

You see the problem here, right? It's the cheese. Or my lack of willpower or whatever. Clementines and spinach it is. For three months. I swear! Sigh. I GET TO GO TO COSTA RICA! I NEED TO RENEW MY PASSPORT! I'M GOING TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY!

This is all - obviously - very exciting and my brain may explode.

Whoooo! How fun!

I never win any battles against cheese. I bought a swimsuit that kind of looks like an ice skating outfit - you know, with the funny skirt thing? I LOVE IT. It is cute, I look just fine, and I can still eat cheese.

So, in case the cheese wins, look for one of those swimsuits and be happy!

i love those socks, especially because they are from 2066! Did you knit them?

Wow, now that's a golden opportunity.

I totally understand the cheese/bikini problem. But I've also given up dairy before and it wasn't as hard/bad as I thought it would be. I think it's easier if you cut out all of it but one thing (for me it was mozzarella), and only let yourself have that one thing when you can't stand it anymore.

I've actually completely lost my taste for milk now, and I don't crave Cambozola anywhere near as much as I thought I would. Smaller amounts of cheese satisfy me now.

It's all about moderation, but I've found that sometimes you have to go to an extreme first to get to the moderation eventually.

Wow, Costa Rica for free! Can I come too? I promise to look the other way when you hook up with the cabana boy...

The cheese/bikini dilemma is an easy one for me, since I wouldn't look good in a bikini either way. So, cheese it is.

Yeah for you! This makes me smile so big.

Cheese will love you no matter where you are.......don't forget to always love your cheese. Who cares about the cabana boy, as long as he is mute and smiles a lot.

Can we come too? I want to come.

Also, my inbox is filled with secrets right now too. I have one that makes me not even want to talk to the person it has to do with because it is very exciting and good and I want to SHARE so I can't talk to this person even thought I need to talk to this person most days.

Ugh.

Oh! My husband spent a lot of time in Costa Rica when he was younger. I am dying to go! I hope your trip works out. It sounds wonderful!

It's very frustrating not to be able to write about important things. I have something major happening in my life right now that I can't breathe a word about online. It drives me batty.

We went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon. All I can tell you is, if this opportunity presents itself, you must go. Tickets from Chicago were under $500 round-trip (through Miami). The people there are incredibly kind. And we even met a couple from the States whom we're still very friendly with.
