Happy Feet Friday

For all you with a boot fetish. Here you go. I did NOT get to have a pink drink with The Pirate, but that's okay. He's here for work and well - he had to WORK. But, that doesn't mean I'm not going to be experimenting with pink drinks. In fact, I think I'm going to work on creating my perfect pink drink. Most of the recipes I saw had a combination of cranberry juice, cherry juice, pineapple juice, grapefruit juice, orange, lemon and club soda. Cocktails in Tiny Apartment tonight! Come on over! I promise you nothing but hilarity, slippers and cozy.
Okay. Drinking aside, I thought I'd show you how to make the perfect lunch at work. Everybody's been all, "Oh my God! I'm fat! Make it stop!" (And don't think I haven't either, but you know I've never been a paragon of slender beauty. I rock the Renaissance look. However, that doesn't mean I couldn't try.) So here's my version of Spinach Salad at Work. I bought a container of organic baby arugula, a container of fresh strawberries (Fresh! Ha! In January!), a box of organic, low-fat feta cheese and then mixed up an oil and balsamic vinegar dressing (more vinegar, less oil) in this cute little apple juice container I JUST HAD TO HAVE, even though I don't like apple juice. Then I got a brand new jar of restaurant black pepper, because I love pepper on my salad.

Look how pretty it is! Colorful! And fun! And zesty and sweet and peppery and YUM! And my containers lasted almost all week. So instead of going to the hospital cafeteria and eating Phat Burritos every day, (Okay, well the chicken strips and fries are my favorite. But Shh!) I did a step up and brought something divinely delicious and I'm pretty sure it's fairly good for me.

I love arugula!
But I'm allergic to it!
And I can't leave out, "arugula! It's a veg-e-table!"
Oh! And...nice boots!
Pineapple juice is satan's serum. It's true. Avoid it. Like the plague.
I lurve those boots, btw.
Temp dropped here big time- I don't want to go out!
Love the boots, love the salad.. but there's no spinach in that there spinach salad...
That salad looks WONDERFUL. That's it. Your salad is going to be my Salad Lunch next week. YUMMY!
I saw strawberries growing in a field near my parents' house (in Central CA) when I was home last weekend. Crazy, but true.
And arugula makes any salad better.
Please come over here with that salad and share it with me. It looks amazingly delicious!
You are a peppery lady! Arugula *and* black pepper!
I am feeling very guilty.
My favourite salad sounds a lot like yours, except it has no cheese (can't digest it), but it does have a handful of fresh walnuts thrown in. And sometimes some cold chicken breast slices. Mmmm...
Ohhhhhh, that looks delicious. Now I'm hungry!
Captain Crab, stop feeling guilty! I experimented with pink drinks anyway! I'll know exactly what I want to order next time you come!
