You Get Cats Today

I'm struggling to beat down the lies. One day at a time. The most pressing one that I beat with a very large stick is, "Everyone I love just leaves me." I know that's not true. So I just keep plugging along. Hoping that my head will right itself once again. Sigh. It's hard work, you guys. To keep this ol' head of mine from taking me down the rabbit hole.

I read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland yesterday. I can relate.

Cute kitty. But she's napping on my chair.I woke up the Empress. She is NOT happy. See that dirty look?
So I plopped her into the other chair with her blanket.
And now?
It's bath time.
Just missed her little pink tounge there.

Sigh. It's gonna be a long day. I have to go look at a dead body. And well? I just don't do well with dead bodies. They make me throw up.

Keep your chin up. You'll make it through today. Especially with all your interwebs friends thinking of you and sending our e-support. =)

My Katie once asked me "why does everyone I love keep dying?" This was after her father, then her mother, then her best friend died. I didn't have a good answer for her, and I still don't, and I'm terrified that she'll grow up being afraid to ever love anybody again because it hurts too much when they die.

But she still loves anyway. Even without an answer to that question, she still overflows with love.

So I guess what I'm saying is, don't stop yourself from loving and caring about people just because you're afraid it will hurt when they die. Love them anyway, cry when they're gone, and then love the memories you created with them while they were here.

Still thinking of you.

There's nothing I can say that will make such a horrible task any easier, so I'll just send thoughts of strength and peace your way.

I find rubbing my face in kitties' tummies makes bad things go away. Just for a few minutes.

I go down that hole all the time, and I know how hard it is.

Take care.

Everyone has days like that....it's just pulling yourself out of that hole and calling up a friend you haven't talked to in a long time or drinking a yummy pink drink. Did you ever get your pink drink?

Yes! I love cat-pics. And I love knowing people love cats.

And I saw Chicken Police on YouTube today and it made me very happy. Hope it cheers you up, too.

buffalodick said that you get to an age when a lot of people you knew are passing on. It's true. Their journey ends and yours continues. Before that is that age when every body has babies. All the things in life that bring joy, longing or grief...Sometimes life body slams us with so many things to grieve over that it becomes almost impossible to go on but we do somehow.

You'll be in my thoughts today Kate. You've cheered me on more than you know and I wish that today I could bundle it up on one little ball that would help you get through this in an easier way.

Oh, and btw that little voice. It's wrong or you're not hearing it right. I think it's meaning to say "Thank you for loving these people before they had to leave."
