Happy Feet Friday

My feet did not want to pose this morning, but Dax's did. Long time readers know about Kate and The Universe Time. Click here for a recap. What? You didn't click? Whatever. It's my morning meditation time. I read a little book and say some prayers and think about The Universe and my place in it while I smoke a cigarette. It comes right after get up, go to the bathroom, get a drink of water and feed the cats in my morning routine.

Now that winter is no longer killing my soul, I do this outdoors while I look at my garden. And this morning, there was a beautiful robin sitting on the fence, talking to his partner in the next yard over. He would chirp, she would chirp, and I was just soaking it in. Wonderment at creation and birds and gardens and smiling on the inside, when "Bloop." He shit on my peas and then flew off.

So much for joyful reflection.

Awww, look at the pretty kitty feet. Maybe Dax can help with your pooping bird problem. No actual contact, you know, but maybe a threatening presence.

Morning meditiation involves cigarettes? Do you also use low fat cheese on a double bacon cheeseburger?

I've always thought smoking and meditation go well together. Native Americans used tobacco this way, sending their prayers up in the smoke.

I wish I could smoke a cigarette. That just sounded sooo good...

Bird poop is supposed to be good luck. Seriously, if a bird poops on you that's good luck so I'm thinking the same thing goes for peas. If a bird poops on your peas that's good luck by pea proxy.

Glad The Rock did well with his surgery, give him a virtual hug from the blog world!

Dax has cute paws. Next time that robin comes around, send Dax to put a scare into him. He won't poop on your veggies again!
