The Rock had a quadruple bypass and is resting comfortably in Critical Care. Thanks for all your kind thoughts and words. When I went to go see him on Tuesday morning, this is what I heard when he saw my tears, "Buck up, little missy. I'm tough. Now go on out to Tallgrass and work with that gal I called you about." Wink. Smile. Done. Sigh. So I did. Because I do what he tells me to do. It has yet to fail me.
I took Wednesday off because well - IT'S SUMMER! And Cowgirl, Mini Mama and Munchkin Number 2 and I went to the beach. Our first official beach day. And it was glorious. Munchkin Number 2 wanted a "picnic." So she set herself up with a table and chair and dug into an entire container of pickles, which she pronounced, "Just a teensy bit spicy, mommy." I love her so much.
Basking in the sun with four applications of 15 spf sunscreen and I still look like I have leprosy. That spray stuff doesn't work the best in the wind. Ha! But I still felt like a million bucks when we were done with the day. It was splendid.

So glad to hear the Rock had a successful surgery. I'm sure you're a little more relieved than you were a few days ago.
And a day in the sun? Oh the glory! I need one of those. Thankfully, it's supposed to be in the 70s and 80s here this weekend. You know where to find me - not inside!

I am so happy that the surgery went well and he came out of it with a sense of humor. And I'm glad you're hanging out with loved ones and feeling all sunny!

Glad to hear about Mr. Rock. Yay! And Yay for a beach day! It was warm enough her for a beach day yesterday -but it didn't quite pan out (ie: Steve worked til 8pm...). Hopefully soon!

There is nothing better than a day spent in the sunshine with good friends and pickles that are just a teensy bit spicy.
Nothing like good friend's advice and the beach to fix whatever is wrong. That munchkin is too cute!
