INTERNET! My new job is sending me to Portland, Oregon for a conference! Free! PORTLAND! DO YOU HEAR ME?! I get to travel for my job. And I get to meet Melissa Lion! OMG OMG OMG!

What do Portlanders wear? Should I stop washing my hair like Melissa? Do I need to lose weight? Are scarves and rainbow glasses acceptable? I'm from the Midwest, people. MIDWEST. I do not know these things.

I'm so excited! I'm so excited! I squealed and everything when I got the confirmation email. PORTLAND, Internet! PORTLAND!

How fun!!! Do you have a flannel shirt? Or wait, is that Seattle? Anycase, you will knock them dead with your midwestern sass!

You should do what other RUNNERS do and stay over a weekend to run a race ... it's a great way to see a city!!! =)

Have you watched the Portlandia clips? This tells you everything you need to know about my fair city.

I think we will go to Powell's and eat some good breakfast and generally enjoy the city.

You should wear water-proof performance clothes. You'll fit right in.

Man, I sooo miss traveling for work.

Portland is fun. Go to VooDoo Donuts. Way yummy. Also, the Saturday Market is pretty damn cool, too. Oh1 And Powell Books!
