Happy Anniversary!

Guess what? It's the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of my blog! Whoop De Doo! Thanks to Carrie for introducing it to me. Thanks to everyone that visits and comments. My life has been enriched by this venture and I'm glad you're all along for the ride.

And here's some much needed entertainment for you. I ask my co-worker today why 55 and 58 year old men wink at me on match.com. She says, "Well, they probably want someone young and feisty." And I say, "Well, that's like dating my dad or something." And she says, "You can learn to love a guy with money."

And then I burst into laughter.

But then I thought. That's not funny.

But it was.

I wouldn't generally go more than 10 years either way because the frame of reference gets wonky. That said, 50s isn't THAT old. You don't have to push their wheel chairs and they usually have lots of disposable income at that point. :)

Happy blogiversary!

Only 55 and 58? Not 56 or 57?

I've heard half your age plus 7. Anything younger is too young for you.

So therefore, 58 is your limit! 58/2 = 29 + 7 = 36

Happy Anniversary, Punkin'!

58?? Take each guy on a case by case basis. I've met some pretty awesome older men. But come to think of it, I couldn't imagine sleeping with them. Yeah, that's too close to my parents' age. But it's still funny that they wink at you online. Papa's gotta brand new bag! :)

Happy one year! Hope you have many more! I dated a 40 year old for over a year when I was 26. The scary thing was that I was closer to his daughter's age then to his. Needless to say it didn't last. Now if he would have had money.....hmmmmmmm, I prob could have learned to love him!

Happy Anniversary! My BF is 13 years older than me, and 13 years younger than my dad.

Creepy...but it works. I mean, Denzel Washington is 55 and that man is pretty alright. *wink wink*

Happy Blogiversary!

I was once married to a man 7 years my senior and it was a NIGHTMARE so I don't know that, at your age, I'd be thrilled with a dude who was 58. On the flip side, I have an aunt who was very happily married to a guy who was more than 20 years her senior for years and years... I guess it depends on the people involved.

Either way, have some "make up for missing chocolate cake day cake" and enjoy your blogiversary!

Congratulations!

Something similar happened to me at work last week. They were trying to set me up, and I was all, "It's cool, I got one at home," and the lady looks crestfallen and says, "Oh, too bad, he makes so much money!"

Clearly I should leave my live-in significant other for the new guy because of MONEY?

Effed up.

HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY! That's a huge milestone. Yay!

And, ummm, eiwww, is what I have to say to learning to love anyone. Especially wrinkly old men.

I'm happy with my younger man - not exactly robbing the cradle at 2 years difference. According to AltBrian's formula I could potentially be dating a guy as young as 25. Nah - not appealing. I think sticking as close to the same age as possible is a good idea.

Woman, you make me laugh. I hope you are still here in a year. Congrats.

Happy Blogaversary! Part of me want to say that you should give everyone a chance even older men, but Jen didn't have very good luck with older men who seemed wonderful in the beginning.

Congrats!!! One year is a great milestone. To many more.

It's hilarious. But my judgment in that area is slightly different than most. Since my only semi-significant other is 24 years older than me (twice my age right now), and I adore him, I don't see a problem with it. The sex is phenomenal. Just saying...

The good news, Sparkling, is that I'm 42. ;-)

Happy Blogaversary! I hope you had a cake. And I hope an old guy popped out of the cake. A really old rich guy. Or maybe we should just say an old really rich guy.

It's my goal to have an old rich guy with money.

Happy Blogoversaryday!
