Happy Feet Friday

These are my gardening shoes. When you're all done, you just hose them off and away you go. Whee! Two more weeks and I can start throwing things in the ground. Wahoo! Look at my stickers! Look how many stickers I got already this month! I'm going less for weight loss and more for stickers these days. Because the stupid weight isn't coming off. But when I only walk for 2 miles now? I'm like, "What? I'm not even tired." And that? Is amazing! Two months ago, I couldn't even walk two miles without being totally wiped out. Now, if I don't walk/run at least 3 miles, it feels like a waste of time.
I couldn't go last night though. My allergies are kicking my ass. They make my ears hurt and then I feel dizzy. And whereas I am well versed in stumbling on the treadmill, I really don't want to completely fall off of it. I might hit my head.

It's going to rain all weekend. I'm going to hole up with a book. Doesn't that sound luscious?

I need to get some cheerful gardening shoes. My black crocs are functional, but not FUN.

For a second there I thought you were saying that when you're done with your shoes you throw them in the ground.

Cuddling up with some good friends, I mean books sounds like a lovely weekend.
I'll be working in the garden today and tomorrow - just getting the ground ready. Oh, and putting in brussel sprouts and fennel because they like the cold. King Tut exhibit on Sunday and rain...

I love my gardening shoes, of course TBHITW ribs me about them because I have shoes for everything.. walking, gardening, swimming, hiking, running, dancing.. what's a girl going to do? We like shoes.

I am always happily amazed to watch friends make such great strides regarding fitness. Next thing you know, you're going to tell us you're running a marathon! Might not be tomorrow, but I'll wait. =)

Rain and books is the perfect combination!

Your gardening shoes are actually cute where as my running gorilla feet Vibrams are...not as cute. But awesome either way.

Congrats on rewarding yourself NOT with the scale but with stickers! I think it's a genius idea so you can see all the little progress you've made on a daily basis.

Bravo!

Keep it up :) You'll be walking 4 miles by next month!

I'm glad you've given up on the weight loss part. That'll come. It takes a little while, but all of a sudden, you'll be like WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?

Great job on the fitness goals! You know, you can walk a half marathon...I'm doing it in June.
