It just dawned on me that Sunday night will be the longest night day of the year, just as December 21st is the shortest day of the year.

It's not happening. Seriously. I just NOW got over February's darkness.

Actually, it will be the SHORTEST night of the year, but I'm guessing that's what you meant.

I know what you mean about just now getting over winter. I woke up this morning thinking about winter. It's almost like the default season to me. I wonder why?

Well, um, I hate to be a dick about this, but, um, it will still be 24 hours in the day.

I love the Summer Equinox - I have all sorts of outside things planned for today... I"m serious. I think maybe I'm a Druid.. LOL.. or at least WAS in some ancient prior life.

Okay - first.
Walk - really long one.
Then, garden.
Then lunch outside.
Then read - outside
Then, dinner - outside.
Then another walk -
Then I plan on sitting on my porch on my rocking chair and waiting for sundown - around 9:30 pm..

Yeah!! Summer!!

Sorry Canary. I was wrong. It was the SHORTEST night of the year and the LONGEST DAY is today. ANd it's pouring rain here. So whatever. No celebration. Just wet shoes and disgusting hair.

Ken went out and I had to put the kids to bed by myself. It really WAS the longest day of the year yesterday.
