Water

Saturday morning, I just wanted to get out of town. And even though it was cold, windy and somewhat sprinkly, I went to the lake. See those birds? They were swooping and flying and being buffeted in the wind, as I was. I crouched down next to the water and put my fingers in. I touched the water to my cheeks. I felt alive. Water is alive. I am alive.

And then I drove home. Someday soon. I will walk into the water and feel it cleanse my soul.

Water always soothes me too, whether that be ocean, lake, creek, river, or bath tub.

Something so calming about water. That's why I want to pitch a tent on the beach and just stay.

I love the water. When I visit my family in Florida, I start my day with a sunrise walk on the beach. When we're up at our cabin on the lake, I love to get out in my kayak and see the wildlife up close and personal. Hearing the loons' calls is magical.

It will warm up one of these days and then I agree, get out and in the water and enjoy. :)

I love water, it reminds me that I am small when compared to the world around me.

Love you, Kate. Write to me if you can. I want to give you verbal hugs :)
